Although i am not a local i can confirm that it does
Best bagel in the city! I recommend the everything bagel with house-made chive cream cheese. Always friendly staff and a great environment to sip your coffee in peace or get some work done. Great neighborhood spot and popular with visitors taking tours in the area.
Excellent product in a nice little shop. The convenience of the location is an added bonus. Absolutely delicious.
Half gift shop, half coffee shop. The coffee is great, but more popular with tourists than locals. There's a really nice patio for those who like outside seating.
Great atmosphere, food and service
Good coffee. The staff were very nice and friendly!
I hear they are not treating employees safely and fairly during this crisis.
Terrible coffee and treatment of their employees. Plenty of other great alternatives in the area.
Average. Nothing special here. Not too clean. Filled with 40-year olds and up. More often than not, the service is below average -- simply not welcoming, friendly, or curteous.
This is an awesome cafe with great muffins and pastries!
The owners decided to open without implementing any new safety protocol or provided PPE for employees. The plans for opening did not include required New Orleans Phase 1 rules like implementing social distancing for employees or customers. There is no regard for employees’ or customers’ health during a global pandemic.
Horrible customer service. I left a review about the awful customer service on a social media site and this was their reply (just to illustrate how rude they really are) "So you are posting your toxicity again about the same encounter! Get a life! It's only coffee and maybe you weren't nice!"First of all, I didn't post again on that site, I edited my post. Get a life? I was on vacation and have left glowing reviews for every place I visited except for here. I was nice but even if I hadn't been, that's no excuse for their behavior and response to me. I was on vacation and they really upset me. I'm still trying to reach a manager to discuss this issue. I'd like an apology from both girls at the counter who were rude to me and also whomever posted the reply to my review on Facebook. I will keep posting my experience until I get an apology.
Great little coffee shop in cute area.
Never even thought of getting a coffee here until a twist of fate rerouted my normal drive to work....well, I learned that the coffee is great, the price is fair, and the staff were polite and cordial. It’s not a “cookie cutter corporate” style, rather a very comfortable New Orleans atmosphere with lots of options. Impressively curated, very clean, and a really pleasant experience.I completely recommend this place.
Great iced coffee!
A nice place to make a quick stop!
Used to be good but the coffee quality isn’t the same. No PPE in the store.
Great coffee. Nice location. Clean.
Nice place to have a drink and muffin
Lovely coffee shop. Really friendly.Bagel was delicious and muffin was really tasty., ❤️❤️
Nice place where you can but presents or get a great hot chocolate.
Support your local Baristas. Demand that businesses protect their employees and patrons.
Not only did I abhor the establishment for its subpar service, burned food and substandard coffee when I visited New Orleans back in November, but now I hear they’re also retaliating against workers over health conditions? Shame. Big brands like SBux and even small coffee shops are providing stability and good conditions for workers in these trying times. PPP loans are available for companies like these, but these owners are too lazy to take the steps to ensure the financial stability of themselves and their baristas. Shame!
Very cute coffee shop. If buying something they have a bathroom. So when the one i. The Rink is busy go in buy a pastry and a cup of Joe.
I brought my family here after a lovely walk and was completely embarrassed to the service that we received. The man with the beard and glasses was so rude and unwelcoming that I will NEVER patron here again. I try to support local shops, but I won't be back or recommend this establishment to any of my friends that live in the area.
Best Ice Coffee and Blue Berry Muffin
I visited this place around 4. Nothing in it was impressive. They had plenty of customers so I could be wrong, but the place wasn't that exciting to be a coffee house in New Orleans. It was a bit sterile. Just tables and chairs. No character. Furniture was even boring.
Protect your employees.
The Garden District has few businesses, luckily this centrally located coffee shop is a good one. Great selection of teas and coffees. Also souvenirs, and useful stuff like umbrellas for the many visitors to this historic neighborhood. Just a block from the streetcar, and Cattycorner from Lafayette Cemetery. Additionally, it's the hangout of many important locals, writers, and historians.
The owners Kathy and Mike refuse to request additional loans and raise wages for baristas. If they're so eager to f over their employees, nobody should support their business! Boycott evil business owners!
Great coffee, excellent service. Try the Granita! Very delicious. Right across from Lafayette Cemetery no. 1.
My favorite coffee place in the garden district.
nice ambiance, good tea, not conveniently located, ...parking 👎🏿
This coffee shop located in the garden district just a block from New Orleans Cemetery #1. Very nice place to sit and rest and enjoy a nice cup of coffee after a stroll through the cemetery. Prices are comparable to any other coffee shop. Nice assortment of sweets to go with your coffee but no beignets.
The reviews pointing out the bathroom as a glaring issue are pretty accurate - aside from its lack of cleanliness it is only one of two publicly accessible restrooms in a significant area of the garden district. Not only do you have to use a filthy toilet but you also have to wait in line for it.The service and drinks we received here were fine, but I can't offer a better review until this issue is resolved.
NOT safe. Very BAD place for only the WORST people.
Stopped at Still Perkin' after checking out the shops the The Rink. The iced tea was tasty, bathrooms were clean: good for a quick visit if you are in the area.
Nice spot with plenty of room inside and out.
Nice enough place to rest my feet and use the (dirty, stinky) bathroom after a walking tour. Table was dirty, staff was busy talking at the counter when I walked in - I felt like I was disturbing their important gossip sesh. ("OMG! Like, really?") but their frozen lemonade was yummy. I also appreciated the free wifi!
Great service & excellent staff
Would never eat at this place when they treat their employees so poorly.
Great coffee shop. Great place for meeting.
Give your workers better pay
it's a shame you fire all your employees who asked for basic needs to be met with pay and to feel safe in their workplace. this place will never get my business.
The owners decided to open without implementing any new safety protocol, livable wages, or PPE for employees. The plans for opening did not include required New Orleans Phase 1 rules like implementing social distancing for employees or customers. There is no regard for employees’ or customers’ health during a global pandemic.Owners are wealthy folks who are epidemiologist, lawyers, etc who clearly have the capital and knowledge to help. Seeing workers as disposable is TERRIBLE and immoral.
Super friendly staff. Great frozen lemonade!
We are in this coffee shop frequently and have been for several years. The staff is very nice. The drinks are good. The food is good. Everything is reasonably priced. As an Orleanian, I can tell you that we are rarely rude. We are never rude without a good reason. We love having you visit our city. We only ask that you respect our culture and bring your manners with you when you come.
Friendly service and decent coffee. We ordered two bagels both of which were burned. They offered to give us new ones but something like that should not happen in the first place. Also somewhat strange that you order a bagel w/ cream cheese and instead of getting it for you they had you a container with spread and a plastic knife. It's a waste of resources.
This is place is gross and unsanitary and the owner treats their workers horribly !
